Hi Center Pointe family!

We appreciate all your encouragement and prayers during this CRAZY and
AMAZING weekend! We are so happy to have little Kate Toccoa as a part of our
family. She really is the coolest thing ever! I’m glad to hear that even
through the blizzard conditions, you still met together and more
importantly, God met with you. We missed you and I’m looking forward to
being with you again this Sunday. FYI, Clint Bieri, is preaching for the
first time at Center Pointe as a part of our missional ministry family, so
you don’t want to miss it!

Here are a couple other updates!

  • TUESDAY UNIVERSITY COURSES. Financial Peace University is a 13 week study that teaches families how to beat debt, build wealth, and give like never before. THE START WAS POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER, SO THERE IS STILL TIME TO GET IN ON THIS LIFE-CHANGING PROGRAM. IF YOU’VE ALREADY TAKEN FPU, TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO SIGN UP TODAY!
    Instructor: Dave Humphrey; Meeting Night: Tuesday night; Meeting Time:7-9pm; Meeting Location: Centerburg Elementary Library; Meeting Duration: 13 weeks starting February 16, 2010 and ending May 11, 2010; Cost: $100 per family (register here by 2/14/10) *Scholarships are available.
  • 2010 LENT CHALLENGE. “What if a group of people intentionally choose to listen to what God is saying to them?” We believe God is speaking to each of us through His Word and His Spirit, and that it takes some deliberate effort to listen to Him in our busy and loud lives. The historical church period of Lent begins February 17. The challenge is for the ENTIRE Center Pointe family to read and listen to God during this time. What would happen? What would God teach us? How would God direct us? TAKE THE CHALLENGE! The Lent Readings 2010 booklet and CDs will be available on the info table this Sunday (2/14).
  • BAPTISM. Public celebrating our death to sin and our new life in Christ is an exciting and significant part of the Christian journey. If you would like to be baptized on Easter Sunday, April 4 during the Worship Gathering, or if you’re just interested in finding out more about what Baptism is, please contact the church office ASAP.
  • BECOME A FAN. Center Pointe is on Facebook! Search for ”What God is Doing at Center Pointe Church” and become a fan. You can stay up to date on events, share prayer requests and praises, and introduce your friends to our community.
  • YOUTH GROUP. There will be NO youth group on Sunday, 2/14. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with those you love!

Coming Soon!

  • February 21st – NEW MESSAGE SERIES. The Gospel of John. We’ll begin our journey of studying through the Gospel of John together on Sundays. This would be a great time to invite your friends, neighbors, family, co-workers, and classmates to hear what God has to say to them and experience a relationship with Jesus at our Worship Gatherings!
  • March 19th-20th – Intimate Issues Conference for Women
  • March 27th – REAL LIVE Easter Party. Outreach event to children and families.
