Hi Center Pointe family!

Josh, has allowed me to distribute the CP Update this week and so I wanted to say a heart felt thank you to all of you on bringing Christina and I into the Center Pointe family.  I know we have not been around all that long but we are confident that this is where God wants us and we are looking forward to serving Jesus with you! - Clint Bieri, Church Planting Resident

Here are this week’s updates!

    February 21st – NEW MESSAGE SERIES. John’s Gospel: Jesus the Gateway to God. We’ll begin our journey of studying through the Gospel of John together this Sunday. Our series in John would be a great time to invite your friends, neighbors, family, co-workers, and classmates to hear what God has to say to them and experience a relationship with Jesus at our Worship Gatherings!
  • TUESDAY UNIVERSITY COURSES. ROOTS is a 6 week class in discovering the essential beliefs and behaviors that keep us centered on Jesus.  This class is required to become a servant partner at Center Pointe Church. Instructor: Josh Franks; Meeting Night: Tuesday night; Meeting Time:7-9pm; Meeting Location: Center Pointe Offices; Meeting Duration: 6 weeks starting February 23, 2010 and ending March 30, 2010; Cost: $20 for adults and $10 for students (register by clicking here. Please register by 2/21/10).
  • 2010 LENT CHALLENGE. “What if a group of people intentionally choose to listen to what God is saying to them?” We believe God is speaking to each of us through His Word and His Spirit, and that it takes some deliberate effort to listen to Him in our busy and loud lives. The historical church period of Lent begins February 17. The challenge is for the ENTIRE Center Pointe family to read and listen to God during this time. What would happen? What would God teach us? How would God direct us? TAKE THE CHALLENGE! The Lent Readings 2010 booklet and CDs will be available on the info table this Sunday (2/21) or get the reading guide from the website.
  • BAPTISM. Public celebrating our death to sin and our new life in Christ is an exciting and significant part of the Christian journey. If you would like to be baptized on Easter Sunday, April 4 during the Worship Gathering, or if you’re just interested in finding out more about what Baptism is, please contact the church office ASAP.
  • BECOME A FAN. Center Pointe is on Facebook! Search for ”What God is Doing at Center Pointe Church” and become a fan. You can stay up to date on events, share prayer requests and praises, and introduce your friends to our community.
  • YOUTH GROUP. Center Pointe Students will not be getting together at Josh and Jenn’s home this Sunday night, but Clint will be meeting all teens in 7th-12th grade over pizza after church on Sunday.  Bring some $$ to split a few pies!  We are rockin the Long Brach Pizza and  having fun so invite your people!
