Center Pointe family,

God is showing himself faithful.  We have seen people come to know Christ, we have ministry to the community to do and the snow is melting to top it all off.  In the midst of all the excitement we need to make sure that we are talking with Jesus and spending time in God’s Word.  God is showing himself faithful and so let’s respond to him in faith-filled worship!
There are a few things going on that you will need to take note of from this week’s CP Update and now you can also view an events calendar online and look at upcoming events by going to www.centerpointecma.com/events. Here are this week’s updates!

  • March 21st –  Glenn Wanless from Hope Church in Mt. Vernon and our own Josh Franks are doing a “pulpit exchange” this coming weekend.  We will hear Pastor Glenn speak on whether we are walking with God by “faith or feelings” this weekend at Center Pointe.  Pastor Josh will speak on Sunday in Mt. Vernon on joining God as He advances His Kingom so as to not get left behind!
  • BAPTISM. Publicly celebrating our death to sin and our new life in Christ is an exciting and significant part of the Christian journey. If you would like to be baptized on Easter Sunday, April 4th, during the Worship Gathering, or if you’re just interested in finding out more about what Baptism is join us for a baptism class on Sunday night March 21st at 6:00 p.m. you can follow this link to sign up. This one hour class will help you know what baptism is and why we do it – bring your questions!
  • The REAL LIVE Easter Party - WARNING: IF WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM YOU… WE ARE ASSUMING THAT YOU WILL BE AT THE REAL LIVE EASTER PARTY TO SERVE!!  March 27th is an outreach event to children and families. Please sign up to help out.  This will help our organizers out a lot if they know that you are coming. Mark your calendars, give your friends a flier and sign up to help out!
  • STARTING POINTE – If you are new to Center Pointe within the last six months there will be a get-to-know-us meeting after Worship Gathering on March 28th.  If you did not receive an invitation card to Starting Pointe please fill out the Connection Pointe Card online, and of course you are invited!
  • YOUTH GROUP. Center Pointe Students will be going out for Lunch + a Movie in Mt Vernon on Sunday March 21st.  They will go to lunch and watch Alice in Wonderland (rated PG).  They should be finished by about 3:30pm. Parents – you can pick up your kids from the Center Pointe Office.
  • 2010 LENT CHALLENGE. If you took the challenge then please share what God is showing you through his word!  Click hereto encourage others by leaving comments on the web page as we read through Isaiah and John! The Lent Readings 2010 booklet and CDs will continue to be available on the info table this Sunday (3/21) or download the reading guide from the website.
  • BECOME A FAN. Center Pointe is on Facebook! Search for ”What God is Doing at Center Pointe Church” and become a fan. You can stay up to date on events, share prayer requests and praises, and introduce your friends to our community.

  • TUESDAY UNIVERSITY CLASS – S.H.A.P.E is designed to help you discover your the Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experiences that will help you serve people in Centerburg.  If you haven’t already, please register for this class. Class begins April 13, 2010
