Center Pointe Update for 08.01.10

SUNDAY August 1 :: Dave Humphrey continues in the study of John’s Gospel: Jesus the gateway to God by preaching from John 8:12-30. While we are in the book if John it will be a great time to invite your friends and co-workers to join us at a worship gathering.

YOUTH GROUP :: AUGUST 4th @ 7p YOUTH GROUP! Our study in the book of 1st John continues! If you or some one you know is in the 6th – 12th grade have them join us on Wednesday!

GOAL KEEPERS :: Center Pointe’s Summer soccer league kicked this past Tuesday July 6th. Please be in prayer for all the kids and volunteers as they invest in Centerburg! Visit www.centerpointecma.com/gk to keep up with GoalKeepers!

SUMMER MINI-SERIES :: On August 15, 22, 29 and September 5th Center Pointe will be answering Centerburg’s biggest questions in a series called ASK ANYTHING. Help us decide which questions to answer on those Sundays (we will send you an email with the dates and questions being answered) also, you will be able to ask additional questions pertaining to that mornings topic via text message. All of the questions not answered during the Sunday morning series will be answered in the form of blog posts. Go to www.centerpointecma.com/askanything to vote! BAPTISM :: Publicly celebrating our death to sin and our new life in Christ is an exciting and significant part of the Christian journey. If you are interested in being baptized, please check your connection pointe card or talk to Pastor Josh so that you can take the step of baptism in your walk with Jesus. In order to be baptized at Center Pointe we ask that you attend a one hour baptism class (to be held on August 29th at 7pm) so that we can hear your story and so that you can ask questions if you have any. Baptisms will be during the Worship Gathering on September 12, 2010.

CENTER POINTE SUMMER NIGHTS :: Because we LOVE to hang out with each other at Center Pointe we are going to be getting together on AUGUST 22! Grab your family, a friend, and a soccer ball and join us for a small taste of community at Centerburg Park. Visit the CP website for more info on what to bring to the park.
