Ask Anything Answers

Below is the list of questions that didn’t make the cut for Sunday morning but will be answered via blog post.  As the weeks continue forward there will be more and more content added so check back weekly for updates and links from this page to the following series of blog posts.

  • Jesus, Muhammad and Buddha all taught how to be a good person. What’s the difference between them?
  • I’ve always seen the devil with horns and a pointed tail carrying a pitchfork. Is that what he’s really like or was he just made up to scare children?
  • My boyfriend and I are in love. Why shouldn’t we have sex?
  • I don’t want to get a job. What does God say about that?
  • My friend committed suicide, and he said he was a Christian. Where is he now?
  • Harps and clouds forever? Heaven sounds boring! Why would I want eternal life?
  • I asked Jesus into my heart when I was young but haven’t gone to church much since then. Should I be worried?
  • Is there any biblical reason not to be cremated rather than buried?
  • Can evolution be reconciled with the biblical account- and if yes, how to explain death occuring in the world before man’s sin?
  • If Jesus was a Jew, why aren’t we Jewish?
  • As a Christian, can I attend a Pagan wedding ceremony?
  • In the pamphlet “Pastor Dad” the author indicates that women should not be providers nor should Christians use contraception. The first position is held to greater or lesser degrees by many churches, but the second position seems to be typically associated with Catholic doctrine. What is Centerpoint’s position on either or both? Can one find a definitive answer to these or are these matters of conscience?
  • How do you share the gospel with a friend who insists that if something cannot be proven scientifically, it cannot be true!
  • If we are in the age of grace and not law, why teach the tithe which is part of the law?
