The ministry to teens at Center Pointe has been good since it started in the fall of 2009. There have been many who have attended bible study on Sunday and Wednesday nights. The Bible was taught, friendships were strengthened, and faith was deepened. Yet, God has been at work in the Wednesday Bible study the most. There were students engaged in ministry on Wednesday night and so it was decided to join God where he was working on Wednesday night to bring support and encouragement to the teens gathered there.
We have thought and prayed about these changes. Students were considered and consulted and as a result a REfocesed Center Pointe Students was launched on May 5th. Here is the new schedule for students and what will be happening on each of these nights.
First and third Wednesdays of the month is Youth Group. This night is led by students from the games to the bible study this night is for students and by students.
The second Wednesday of the month are Quads. These are small groups comprised of 4 students and an adult leader. This night is devoted to learning more about Jesus.
The fourth Wednesday are Quads as well but these weeks are geared toward serving the community of Centerburg in small ways.
We are hoping that by bringing a little more support and structure to Wednesday night as well as giving some training to student leaders, we will make a vibrant ministry to students in Centerburg.
