• SUNDAY September 5th :: This is the last weekend of the ASK ANYTHING series at Center Pointe. Below is the list of topics that you chose to cover in our worship gatherings:

• BAPTISM ::  Baptisms will be during the Worship Gathering on September 12, 2010.

• TUESDAY UNIVERSITY FALL CLASSES :: This fall Tuesday University will feature the ROOTS class taught by Josh Franks as well as HOW TO STUDY YOUR BIBLE taught by Clint Bieri. You can register for either of these courses online at centerpointecma.com or you can register by filling out your Connection Pointe Card and putting it in the Joy Basket this weekend.

• YOUTH GROUP ::  SEPTEMBER 8th @ 7pm - Discipleship QUADS! Students in 6th-12th grade will be lead in a study of “The Least of These” by their small group leaders. Discipleship QUADS are held at the Center Pointe offices.

• BUSY BABES MARATHON ::  Sign up, grab your shoes, form a team and GO!! More details and registration are at www.busybabesmarathon.com. Complete a marathon in six weeks for body and soul!

• YOUTH BREAKFAST RETURNS SEPTEMBER 1ST :: Youth breakfast each Wednesday morning at the Fuller Center, behind 1st Knox bank throughout the school year.  Breakfast starts at 6:45 a.m. and is over by 7:15 – just in time to get to school!  Rides to school from the breakfast are always available.  All youth in grades 6 -12 are invited. Note that if school is delayed, cancelled or scheduled to not be in session, there will be no breakfast.  Please join us for fellowship and food!

• CENTRAL DISTRICT CONFERENCE :: Each year churches from eastern Ohio and West Virginia of the Christian and Missionary Alliance gather to encourage each other and pray for each other.  There are several opportunities this year for you to go and join in on the fun!  District Conference this year is being held in Mansfield and will be September 13-15 click here for all the details!.  If you are able we would invite you to hear more about what God is doing in our District!

• GIVING TO THOSE IN NEED :: On August 29th at the end of the Worship Gathering we will be gathering money to help those in the Centerburg area who are in need.

• BAPTISM :: Publicly celebrating our death to sin and our new life in Christ is an exciting and significant part of the Christian journey. If you are interested in being baptized, please check your connection pointe card or talk to Pastor Josh so that you can take the step of baptism in your walk with Jesus.  In order to be baptized at Center Pointe we ask that you attend a one hour baptism class (to be held on August 29th at 7pm) so that we can hear your story and so that you can ask questions if you have any. Baptisms will be during the Worship Gathering on September 12, 2010.

• SUNDAY July 25 :: Pastor Josh continues in the study of John’s Gospel: Jesus the gateway to God by preaching from John 8:1-11. This weekend is going to “rock”! While we are in the book if John it will be a great time to invite your friends and co-workers to join us at a worship gathering.

• YOUTH GROUP ::  JULY 28th @ 7p SERVICE QUADS! Once per month the Center Pointe Students serve the Centerburg community!  Join us for an hour smiling and serving people in Centerburg!

• GOAL KEEPERS :: Center Pointe’s Summer soccer league kicked this past Tuesday July 6th.  Please be in prayer for all the kids and volunteers as they invest in Centerburg!  Visit www.centerpointecma.com/gk to keep up with GoalKeepers!

• SUMMER MINI-SERIES :: On August 15, 22, 29 and September 5th Center Pointe will be answering Centerburg’s biggest questions in a series called ASK ANYTHING. • SUNDAY July 4 :: Pastor Josh will continue our study of John’s Gospel: Jesus the gateway to God by preaching from John 6:25-71!  This is one one of the hardest passages in the book of John so come ready for a challenge from the word of God this weekend.  Also, while we are in the book if John it will be a great time to invite your friends and co-workers to join us at a worship gathering.

• ROOTS ACCELERATED :: a 6 week class in discovering the essential beliefs and behaviors that keep us centered on Jesus has been condensed into 3 Saturday morning meetings lasting 4 hours each.  This class is required to become a servant partner at Center Pointe Church. Instructor: Josh Franks/Clint Bieri; Meeting Time: Saturday morning from 8a-12p; Meeting Location:Center Pointe Offices; Meeting Duration: 3 Saturdays on the following dates: July 10, July 24 & August 7; Cost:$20 for adults and $10 for students (register by clicking here. Please register by 7/04/10).

• SUNDAY June 27 :: Pastor Clint will continue our study of John’s Gospel: Jesus the gateway to God by preaching about Jesus performing 2 more amazing miracles!  John 6:16-24 has the account of Jesus walking on water. Clint will unpack what these miracles teach us about Jesus and how our lives need to change to honor & worship him!

• MAN DAY SATURDAY JUNE 26TH :: Paintball at Splatter Park in Mt. Gilead, Ohio!  Cost is $5 for Paintball from 10a-4p, 100 rounds of paintballs, rental gun/mask, and lunch!  Invite your boys because this day is gonna be AWESOME! Please print out your waiver form and bring it with you on June 26th! Extra Paint is available to buy from Splatter Park. MEET AT THE CENTER POINTE OFFICES AT 0900 SHARP TO LEAVE FOR MT GILEAD!!

• STARTING POINTE :: If you are new to Center Pointe within the last four months there will be a get-to-know-us meeting after Worship Gathering THIS WEEKEND June 27th.  If you did not receive an invitation card to Starting Pointe please fill out the Connection Pointe Card online, and of course you are invited!

The ministry to teens at Center Pointe has been good since it started in the fall of 2009.  There have been many who have attended bible study on Sunday and Wednesday nights.  The Bible was taught, friendships were strengthened, and faith was deepened.  Yet, God has been at work in the Wednesday Bible study the most.  There were students engaged in ministry on Wednesday night and so it was decided to join God where he was working on Wednesday night to bring support and encouragement to the teens gathered there.

We have thought and prayed about these changes.  Students were considered and consulted and as a result a REfocesed Center Pointe Students was launched on May 5th.  Here is the new schedule for students and what will be happening on each of these nights.

First and third Wednesdays of the month is Youth Group.  This night is led by students from the games to the bible study this night is for students and by students.

The second Wednesday of the month are Quads.  These are small groups comprised of 4 students and an adult leader. This night is devoted to learning more about Jesus.

The fourth Wednesday are Quads as well but these weeks are geared toward serving the community of Centerburg in small ways.

We are hoping that by bringing a little more support and structure to Wednesday night as well as giving some training to student leaders, we will make a vibrant ministry to students in Centerburg.

If you are a teen in 6th – 12th grade we invite you to join us and bring a friend with you!

• February 28th -  John’s Gospel: Jesus the Gateway to God. Josh will be teaching from John 1:19-35 as our journey continues through the Gospel of John this Sunday. Our series in John would be a great time to invite your friends, neighbors, family, co-workers, and classmates to hear what God has to say to them and experience a relationship with Jesus at our Worship Gatherings!  Click HERE for some cool Gospel of John wallpapers for your computer and iPod touch!

• 2010 LENT CHALLENGE. Did you take the CHALLENGE? Share what God is showing you through his word!  Click here to encourage others by leaving comments on the web page as we read through Isaiah and John! The Lent Readings 2010 booklet and CDs will continue to be available on the info table this Sunday (2/28) or download the reading guide from the website.

If you would like to be baptized on Easter Sunday, April 4th, during the Worship Gathering, or if you’re just interested in finding out more about what Baptism is join us for a baptism class on Sunday night March 21st at 6:00 p.m.  This one hour class will help you know what baptism is and why we do it – bring your questions!

• BECOME A FAN. Center Pointe is on Facebook! Search for ”What God is Doing at Center Pointe Church” and become a fan. You can stay up to date on events, share prayer requests and praises, and introduce your friends to our community.

• YOUTH GROUP. Center Pointe Students will be meeting at the Center Pointe Church Offices for Youth Group on Sunday night from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
