BAPTISM :: Publicly celebrating our death to sin and our new life in Christ is an exciting and significant part of the Christian journey. If you are interested in being baptized, please check your connection pointe card or talk to Pastor Josh so that you can take the step of baptism in your walk with Jesus. In order to be baptized at Center Pointe we ask that you attend a one hour class so that we can hear your story and so that you can ask questions if you have any. The date and time of the Baptism Class will be announced next week.

ROOTS ACCELERATED :: a 6 week class in discovering the essential beliefs and behaviors that keep us centered on Jesus has been condensed into 3 Saturday morning meetings lasting 4 hours each. This class is required to become a servant partner at Center Pointe Church. SUNDAY June 13 :: Chris and Marie Lang will be joining us this week during the worship gathering. They are currently raising support in order to join the ministry at Frontiers. This weekend come prepared to hear how you can personally partner with them in ministry to advance the gospel to people around the world. Begin to pray about how God would use you to encourage the Lang’s with a financial gift. We will be passing the Joy Baskets at the end of the Worship Gathering to collect gifts for the Lang’s Ministry with Frontiers.

SUNDAY MAY 30 :: We will be studying chapter 5:16 – 5:47 in John’s Gospel with Pastor Josh. This weekend during the worship gathering we will be celebrating the commitment of parents to raise their children in the ways of the Lord and dedicating their little ones to God. If you have not yet been able to sign up to dedicate your child to the Lord please call the church office so that one of the pastors can meet with you and set everything up!
COMPASSION / BENEVOLENCE FUND :: In each month that has a 5th Sunday, Center Pointe gathers money for people in the Centerburg community who have need. Prayerfully consider what you and your family can give to help.

SUNDAY June 6 :: Chris and Marie Lang will be joining us for the next two weeks during the worship gathering. They have served in leadership for many years at Xenos Christian Fellowship in Columbus. Chris was a part of the pastoral staff at Xenos and is currently transitioning his ministry to work with Frontiers missions agency. Frontiers is a church planting ministry reaching the Muslim world. They have about 850 missionaries in over 40 countries. Chris is joining their staff as the Associate Director of Training. One of the greatest needs for missionary candidates today is a greater biblical knowledge. Chris is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and brings over 20 years of teaching and training experience to serve candidates preparing to minister overseas.Marie and Chris have been married 24 years. They have three children: Isaac who died in ’97, Max who is 11 and Margeaux, 7. Marie is a trained Art Therapist who specializes in working with children who are grieving or have experienced trauma. They are currently raising support in order to join the ministry at Frontiers.

MAN DAY :: It’s time for men to have a day…. to man-out!
We appreciate all your encouragement and prayers during this CRAZY and
AMAZING weekend! We are so happy to have little Kate Toccoa as a part of our
family. She really is the coolest thing ever! I’m glad to hear that even
through the blizzard conditions, you still met together and more
importantly, God met with you. We missed you and I’m looking forward to
being with you again this Sunday. FYI, Clint Bieri, is preaching for the
first time at Center Pointe as a part of our missional ministry family, so
you don’t want to miss it!

2010 LENT CHALLENGE. “What if a group of people intentionally choose to listen to what God is saying to them?” We believe God is speaking to each of us through His Word and His Spirit, and that it takes some deliberate effort to listen to Him in our busy and loud lives. The historical church period of Lent begins February 17. The challenge is for the ENTIRE Center Pointe family to read and listen to God during this time. What would happen? What would God teach us? How would God direct us? TAKE THE CHALLENGE! The Lent Readings 2010 booklet and CDs will be available on the info table this Sunday (2/14).
